Unloaded gun pic??!?!?! please help.?

hi im 16 and i live in VA and i took a pic with my daddys registered handgun and posted it on myspace i know its not agianst myspace rules but is it agianst the law??
because my fiances mom gave it to a parol ofifcer and i was wondering whether i could get in trouble for it??

Virginia does not have handgun registration...

"A person under 18 shall not possess or transport a handgun or assault firearm.

This prohibition does not apply to a minor in his own home or on his property or on the property of another with prior permission, while accompanied by an adult while hunting, at a range or firearm educational class, and while transporting an unloaded firearm to and from such activities."

So it looks as if it depends on where the picture was taken, and with whom.

If you are on parole yes. If you are not on parole or probation no. It doesn't matter if it was loaded or not unless you are pointing it at someone. If you are on parole I would recommend you remove the picture, why take the chance?

if you have to ask questions like this, you shouldnt be playing with guns. STEP 1: read constitution. STEP 2: take firearms training class. (or have your "daddy" show you)

Yes you can. You're not 18 and can't even legally own most firearms. And you need to be 21 to have a handgun. It may not be yours, but you can the owner of the gun in trouble too.
