Go beige and brown or grey. It helps you just blend into the woodwork.
It works for cars, they don't get as many tickets because they don't stand out so cops don't notice, why wouldn't that work for gangs too.
I am hoping this is hypothetical and you don't have to live in a place that's getting overrun with gangs. I lived in San Diego growing up and my neighborhood was getting really dicey, we moved to a small town in Northern California in the 70's so I shudder to think what it is like there now. |

A colour that blends in well with what regulars in the neighbourhood wear. However colour's not as important as the whole of your general appearance. If you generally look local and are not obviously in fancy dress, you'll probably be safer. |

well first i don't know why you would be strolling through gang infested areas. but i would say white could be safe because it is a nuetral color |

I think anything that isn't too bright and would attract attention to yourself is pretty safe. Denim and blacks, whites, patterns...
I really am not sure, but I think they'd be safe. |
