So, I was caught shoplifting less than 10 dollars worth of makeup this evening from my local wal-mart. I've already realized how stupid it was of me, and the reasons for why I did it were not justifiable.
Anyways, I was taken to their "holding room" gave the man my license and he wrote down my information. He took my address down too. The police were not involved. So I just want to know, am I going to get fined? Cause I just got enough money for my iPhone, and that would be some mess.
But then again..Karma. (Ugh I feel quite stupid at the moment)
Oh it was in Georgia.

I'm not a minor...(forgot to mention that)
is this claim going to go on my credit?

I used to do Loss Prevention for Wal-Mart you and your parents will get a letter for what is called civil recovery or civil demand depending on Georgia state. The amount will be somewhere over 200 dollars. The purpose of this is to help companies pay for loss prevention salaries, and equipment. If you don't pay it they will likely take you to small claims court and get a judgement against your parents since you are a minor. |

I hope the police get involved and this is part of your record. Who knows if this will be the first of your criminal activities or instincts. You need to seriously amend your ways. You should pay for all of the items, then volunteer for community service. |

Probably nothing. I don't know about GA but when I was 19 that happened to me in CA at a Longs Drugs (never did that again, let me tell you, it was quite embarrassing). They took my information and my picture and asked me not to return to that store and that was that. |
