What's the bestest way to support a male loved one who was convicted of a 2 year sentence in prison?

well...i sure hope you arent one of those jerry springer type freaks who get involved with inmates while they are doing their time...thats just stupid. but if your 'loved one' is a relative or someone who you were in love with prior to conviction then write them alot, i guess.

Hope they issue condoms to his cell mates. Send a CD of the COPS theme, don't do the crime, if you can't do the time would also be a nice note to send.

Keep tellig him you love him and visit him every chance you get.If there is ever a time when loved ones need your support this is one of them.

Let him know that u love them care for them and act like nothing going wrong happy feelings and no negative talk ya know? my husbands causin is doing life so thats really hard at least ur friend is getti;n out! be HAPPY

Write letters to him and make him aware of the fact that his life is not over. You are there for him and you will still be there when he gets out. Write things to make him laugh and give him hope. Noone can make it through a prison sentence without hope of something. The best thing you can do is tell him you haven't given up on him yet and that while it seems dark right now, he can still have a life when he gets out and he can in fact turn his life around when he gets out.

I guess you mean that the person was sentenced to prison for two years? Well, it depends.. if it's a family member, offer support by writing letters, but be sure to try to direct them to the right track. Please do not condone his behavior or enable him so that he can continue on the same path. Encourage him to take classes while inside.. anything to better himself.

Now if this person is your boyfriend, cut him loose.. LOL.

I was beginning to think there were not any more people who are compassionate any more so thanks for writing this it gives me faith in humanity again, please , don't listen to some of these people who say forget him etc, this country has gone crazy and we are becoming a police state fast with a 98.8 %conviction ratio, so there is a very good chance your friend is not guilty of any thing, but, even if he is, the bible says "let those with out sin cast the first stone"the bible also says " you will know your friends in sickness and while in jail," so if you really care for this person or even a friend , then write often and visit when you can you may be surprised at what the results will be,

Is he currently in prison? If so, I'd think letters of keeping him in touch with what is going on. Encourage him. Write funny things now and then to brighten his mind. Letters are nice because he can take them out, escape to that world as he re-reads them.
