In the UK it is 17 years of age, however if you are charged you will still go to Youth Court.
From 18 years of age you will go to the 'big boys court'.
The people saying 18 are wrong. Check out PACE 1984. PACE code C, section 1.5 states if anyone appears to be under 17, they shall be treated as a juvenile for the purposes of this Code in the absence of clear evidence that they are older. |

It depends on where you live. Basically in the united states it is 18 years old. And someone mentioned arrests are public knowledge which is true, however juveniles are not allowed to be made public as they ARE juveniles. 18 is the age in america. It is the time when you are considered an adult. Of course at that point, the arrest is made public and your parents can read it in the paper the next day.

In the UK, it's 16 years old. Well, certainly in Scotland it is 16 years old. I don't imagine Scotland and the rest of the UK being any different. |
