I want a tough looking, yet functional pocket knife that i can carry on me all the time. It would be super handy at work and when i am doing chores around the house... you would be suprised when you need one!
I just don't want to get something too extreme that ends up being illegal. I am looking at buying a tanto edged knife that has a 3 3/4" blade. It is not spring assisted but it has enough grease on the mechanism to flip open by wrist action with ease.... I like this, but i am concerned that that is illegal. it has a locking mechanism to it, so it isnt all that dangerous in the right hands. Also, is what are the blade length rules?

With the exception of switchblades, Wisconsin has no specific laws on knives.
The only time I've seen someone charged is when it is a large combat styled knife. Based on what you told me, you will be fine. |

I live in wisconsin also, and from the sounds of what your describing ,that is not illegal. Remember too this is a deer hunting state so the laws aren't going to be to strict when it comes to knive restrictions. |

Am not totally sure on wisconsins laws but most other states it the knife can not be more than 3 inch in length and can not be like a butterfly knife and I would suggest taking it out of your pocket when going in to a public building like a store you might be held in jail and question if some one say you with one in walmart ( seen it happen to a friend ) |
