What are the jursdication of a Township and do they have the same authority as city cops?

Helpful in Michigan

They have jurisdiction on in the township they protect and all the correctional rights as city cops. However, if they are called to help out in another jurisdiction, township, city cops, county sheriff, or state police, they are under the direct supervision of that department and may handle the situation at hand alongside with them by the instruction of that departments lead commander.
