We live in an apartment building and our upstairs neighbors harass us to no end. They have lived here for about 6 months and have been bothering us since the day they moved in! Loud pounding and banging at all hours which is being done to wake us up, they tell their company to knock on our door and run, constantly hurl heavy objects to the floor late at night, egg my car, have loud obnoxious people over late at night and tell them to pound on our ceiling, etc. I have tried talking to the property manager and the police, but nothing has been done. I can't afford to move right now so I'm stuck here. I'm at my wits end and never get a full night's sleep because of these morons. What can be done to make this crap stop?

Start documenting every incident of harassment. Every week send the landlord a certified letter detailing all of the incidents and requesting that he take action. Use a return reciept so you can prove that he got it. After he has recieved two letters send him another one asking to be moved to another apartment at the same rent since you are being prevented from being able to sleep and enjoy your home. If he does not answer go above his head (there is always someone higher, unless he is the owner, and if this is the case go straight to the cops.) If you start documenting everything someone should respond to your requests. |

Start being worse than him. Wait till you know they are asleep (most likely early morning, it sounds like your a working person, and they aren't). Knock on their door at 7am etc.. |
