I was riding my suzuki and i'd barely went a mile. I was weaving on a two lane highway so that i could warm my tires up and clean of the crud before i did anything crazy. Johnny law decided to pay me a visit. Unfortunately , i didn't have my tag properly mounted- although i do own one currently registered , under the seat. The cop decided to issue a citation for both 1- no tag , and 2- for reckless driving ( because i was weaving). I think i can beat this. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

The tag portion will be dismissed when you provide proof that you have it. I'm sure the judge will take into account the giggle he gets over your excuse when he issues you your fine. Actions have consequences. |

Sorry, but no judge will accept "I was warming up my tires" as a defense for weaving on the highway. That one at least you'll have to pay. And I suspect you'll have to pay for the tag too, though you may be able to argue that you had it, it just wasn't properly mounted (which is probably in the police report). |

I got a citation for speeding many years ago,
cop was in a black and white with lights on top,
he was so far away I didn't recognize it as a cop car.
He cited me for speeding, had no radar, and stated in court that they are "highly trained"
to judge your speed.
Judge found me guilty, of course.

You're an idiot.
Start obeying the traffic laws, then you won't get tickets. Weaving IS reckless driving, you're not supposed to do it. Laws are there for a reason, if everyone got to do "crazy" stuff, everyone would be dead or in the hospital from being in accidents, then you'd all whine that nobody stopped you from doing "crazy" stuff on the road.

Be sure and fight it and take that attitude with you to court. Judges like it when you call Cops names and lie. You stated you were weaving. You stated you didn't have your tag mounted properly.
In fact, I think you should pay big bucks and retain a REAL expensive Lawyer to fight this for you. |

Go to court and tell your story, just as you did. After the judge stops laughing, I'm sure he'll consider revoking your license in addition to making you pay the fine. |
