What can i do about my stolen cell phone?

im pretty sure it was stolen since when i called it was off and the next time it was back on. i have a lock on it so hopefully they cant use it.

but my question is if i can get it replace?

i got insurance through best buy the sales lady said it was just like having insurance through the carrier expect i pay a little more and i wont have to pay a deposit if something happens to it.

when i asked them about it, i see its not even real insurance its just protection against damage.

what can i do about being lied to? the only reason i got insurance because my phone was a touch screen and im forgetful.

well i have sprint and sprint doesnt have sim cards...also i have a lock on my phone so the only thing you can do is call the police which i say they did once

I'm sorry. I had this happen-but I had my WHOLE purse stolen and no one did A THING. Not much you can do. Retrace your steps, see if it was lost and not stolen=and depending on where you lost it, ask around.

First thing you need to do is call your carrier and tell them it was stolen so they can cancel the service. As far as the insurance, if it doesn't say it covers lost or stolen phones, then there's nothing they can do. You will just have to buy a new phone. Your carrier might give you a discount on a replacement.

about all you can do is call your service provider
and cancel your cell phone and number. the provider should have the serial number and sim Card of your phone and cut it off were or the people who have your phone can not use it.

The insurance you get at Best Buy is for damages not for loss of the whole unit. Nobody lied to you as most every human knows how it works. I am not being mean but just saying how it works in the fine print.

All you can really do is call your carrier and have it registered that you locked down the account. It is easy to hack into a phone. So you need to do this before you end up with the company telling you you have a say $5000 bill.

Best Buy will give you no joy. But if you gnaw at your carrier enough it is possible that they might do something for you.
