What can i take to court on a fix it ticket to show that the car ( i didn't own it the car but was driving) he?

am in long beach calif and have to go to court TODAY

You will either have to take proof that whatever the fix it ticket was for was fixed, or you will have to pay the fine for whatever was wrong. For example, if you were driving a car with a broken tail light, then it would have to be fixed then signed off by the police dept for proof. Then, it would only be about a $10 admin fee. If you cannot do that since you obviously have waited until the last minute, you are going to have to pay for whatever the fine is for driving with a broken tail light.
It doesnt matter that it is not your car. As the driver, it is solely up to you to make sure that the car you are driving is legal in every way. The "Its not my car" or "I didnt know it was broken" is not an acceptable excuse. Sorry.
