Use their brains and do something about the REAL criminals. Legalize weed or something else that is harmless but costs a lot of money and put it toward better law enforcement

In an ideal world more police on the streets and less cameras would help.

What use is a camera when you are being attacked, raped or murdered?

They are only useful in identifying and catching a criminal after the crime is committed.

Surely preventative measures would be far better.

Eyes are far better than camera lenses, they see and they react, a camera just watches until it is too late.

Get rid of a few thousand unnecessary laws :- crime should drop.
Remember crime is an industry. it employs police ,judges,lawyers,courts.prisons ,guards etc. The government can't and doesn't want zero crime. Thats why if crime falls 5% then they bring in an extra 5% of new laws. To keep the industry going.

Go back to the so-called "Draconian" ways we used to have of dealing with it; hard labor, cops virtually unfettered in what they could do to the skells, prisons like dungeons, no weight room, no library, etc. One modern method I like is "three strikes and you're out," three felony convictions and that's it,life in prison, no reprieve.

tougher sentences!! people get ridiculously short sentences which they never serve the full time anyway - They should be given a sentence and made to serve the full time otherwise they are getting away too easy!

Mandatory curfews in high crime areas. Increased use of surveillance and swift justice. Creating interment camps for habitual offenders.

longer sentences, stop and search people, more policeman, send back the criminals to where they come from, parents needs to be there for the children - they should make sure there at home at night, stop making bad clothes like hoodies that are intimidating!
