Wrong the constitution gives me the right to travel FREE and UNINCUMBERED.

That constitution is something that all police swore to protect and defend.

If you violate that, you felony perjury of your oath of office.

.Great video cops should take a look at reality.

If you don't want to recognize traffic laws, and recognize they need to be enforced, then you shouldn't be driving. Without traffic enforcement, you would be risking your life just crossing the street.

Monies from vehicle fees help build streets, and fund safety programs. If no one registers their car, no roads get built, and your car is worthless.

The authors of the Constitution had no idea what a motor vehicle is. If you want free travel, get a horse.

Laws are written for all to obey. If we didn't have laws...we wouldn't need police....so you are suggesting we all look out and defend ourselves. Better watch your back real close.

If you see a cop car behind you... usually you stop. Unless you are a criminal or something is wrong with you.

I am in the UK so am not entirely familiar with this exact scenario. However, I assume that, like every other country in the western world, US police have the right IN LAW to stop any motorist who he thinks is committing an offence.

I am also aware that, in the US, fleeing from a police officer is an offence and that, if you do so, you are going to get some harsh treatment. I know that from the UK, so I am sure every US motorist also knows it.

There is a simple answer here - if you break the law you are going to get in trouble with the police. DON'T DO IT.

When you get your motor vehicle license you agree to certain terms and conditions. You can't operate a motor vehicle without a license without breaking the law. The law exists to protect the public from individuals. Pulling over for police and emergency vehicles is one of the conditions of having a license. The constitution doesn't say anything about free and unencumbered travel. You can't trespass on private property and on public property you have to observe the laws that regulate personal behaviors in public.

You are free to walk anywhere you choose. However, once you get into a car and get onto government built highways, you have to play by their rules. Just like you just can't walk into a federal building and do whatever you choose.

Buy enough property, build your own private road and you can drive all day on there without tags.

I'm not a cop but I think that guy is an idiot.
Doesn't he realize that cops have plenty to do without having to babysit dumbasses who can't register their car!??
When people act like that you are putting several cops, yourself and possibly my wife and kids in danger.....he's an idiot

EDIT.....you're an idiot too!!!!!
How can the cop know that you ONLY owed for tags??
when you run, they have to suspect ......you know what.....this is a waste of time.
take a civics class and REALLY learn the Constitution before you start believing all this dumb crap.

Is it just me ... or does anyone else think that Marc Stevens might possibly be on some sort of controlled substance?

"I don't accept your reality" ... what kind of hippie nonsense is that?!?

Yes, you do have the right as a citizen to travel throughout the States ... but if you choose to use a car, there are well established rules and regulations that must be followed.

Want to travel without paying for a license plate for your vehicle? Walk, ride a horse, use a bicycle.

Traveling by driving a car is a privilege, not a right. As long as states don't set up "Border Patrol" stations along their borders with other states, you have the right to freely pass from one state to another without interruption. Don't try to use that freedom to say you can thumb your nose at vehicle and traffic laws without consequences! LOL this Marc guy sounds like a fool!

BTW, I'm not a police officer, just a strong supporter of the mission of police officers! What next, the requirement for a driver's license is an unconstitutional encumbrance on the right of free travel? I don't think so! I would pay to see someone try to use that "logic" to beat a ticket in court! What a good time that would be!

It proves one thing:

No matter where you go in life, or what profession you WHO work for, there will always be those who just shouldn't be there. It's that simple.

Police undergo psychological testing. Thorough background checks. Written tests. Oral tests. Multiple interviews. Then they are on a probation period for whatever time specified by the department if hired. Every radio transmission is reordered. Every phone call in/out of the station is recorded. There are cameras in many cars, and cameras in most stations. Now I ask you, how many people out there go through such intense and daily scrutiny? How many would tolerate it? What more do you suggest be done?

What was you true intention of posting this? Was it to belittle all thousands of Police you never ever hear about based on the actions of a few? What is/was your point?

The man is right, the cop in this scenario is the threat to life. But the driver is foolish in not stopping and therefor creating the situation where the cop stops him. But the question was "who is the main threat to life" and the obvious answer is the cop.
