Probation Officers are considered service brokers. They monitor the activities of probationers, set sanctions ( rules) which they make sure are followed ( such as maintaining employment, alcohol and drug free, do not associate with anyone else on probation or parole, report when ordered, etc). Administer urine analysis tests for alcohol and drugs.Check/inspect the home environment. Check the work environment. Check arrest reports daily to see if any of their cases were brought in. File reports by the hundreds.
A warrant is an order by a Judge to have someone arrested.
Despite what some morons may state, no where in the job description does it say that PO's are to make a person's life miserable.
