For tickets..half the time the cop that gave you it doesn't show up so the charges are usally droped. And if he does, it's your bad, just pay the money,... and don't get caught again ;) |

well if you did it, you don't get out of it. That is the way the system works. The only way you get out of it is if you didn't do it and even then the deck is stacked against you.
You MAY be able to get a plea to a lesser offense that may save your insurance rates and points but still cost you.
The courts know you did it. Contrary to the ignorant out there, cops don't write you for nothing as they have more than their pick of law breakers on the road to write so lying or writing a BS ticket is pointless when there are so many legit violations all over.
Get there early, see if there is a prosecutor or rep from the state or ask how you discuss a plea deal. Some courts won't offer it. Others will just to get the money and dispose of the case.
There is no excuse to give for breaking the law. Now is not the time for excuses. If they sense you are not taking full responsibility they will think you have not learned your lesson and will make you take the full ticket. That is the point after all.... |

As far as I know...nothing.....
When getting the ticket you could've said you work with police officers, or are in a police fundamentals program, and you might've gotten let off with a warning. But if you say you're a cop...and you're not....ohhhhhhh shiiiiitttt, that's not good. |

If the cop who took the information followed the book and shows up, you're toast.
Just don't do it again! |

Tell him (or her) you really don't care about the rest of us. If you choose to, you're going to speed, whether it puts someone else's life in danger or not. And since you're so special, you shouldn't have to pay for your selfishness. That should go over big with the judge. |
