It's very sad that it has come to this. Thank you for asking.
It's sad that there are a lot of people that just cannot bring themselves to use good judgment. They think it somehow limits their freedom when really they don't know the meaning of the word. That's not only sad but pathetic too. So much for education for the masses. (to some degree) |

Anyone who supports it should not drive their cars near children either because the car is putting WAY more carcinogens in the air then the smokers and is FAR worse for their health. |

It's yet another horrible step on the road to serfdom.
The government has no right or authority to do this, a deep intrusion and infringement, yet as long as people don't stand up and vote out the little Eichmanns who steal our freedom and liberty, then the future is bleak. |

Well...I'm not a smoker. But I think it's rather stupid.
Whats next? Not letting your kid have some chips because they are unhealthy? Arresting you because your kid doesn't play sports? |

They are not the only State. Arkansas prohibits smoking in cars with children under 6 years old and some States make it 13. Your rights are slowly getting taken away from you. California just passed a no smoking in apartment laws that takes effect in 14 months. |

It's another in a continuing series of infringements on people's rights...the left says they can't regulate the bedroom, but they have no problem regulating whether you can smoke on your private property or in your car. |

If I was a cop in Cali, I don't think I would enforce that law very much. |

Hail Hitler. The New Fuher will take charge in no time. We are just as stupid as Nazi Germany. We are handing our rights over without arguing. The difference was they were enchanted with a brilliant orator. We are fooled into banning everything with the argument of "public interest". Govt will only stop when we stop it. Too bad we keep refusing to. |

I don't know if there should be a law that bans it, but parents should have the common sense not to smoke around their children. My brother and sister-in-law have always smoked around my neice. She is now in 1st grade and has horrible asthma because of it. I know that we are subjected to numerous kinds of pollution, do we really want to add another to our child's lungs. Think smart people!! |

Ridiculous to say the least. Just when I think the left can't get any dumber, they go and pull a stunt like this. |

I don't agree with smoking around kids in an enclosed car. Parents should be able to use better judgement. However,
WTF DOES THE GOVERNMENT THINK THEY ARE? DO WE NOT HAVE RIGHTS ANYMORE? OH, THEY ARE BEING TAKEN AWAY!!! |

When I see people smoking with their kids captive in the back seat, I want to arrest them myself.
1. Secondhand smoke will make them sick. People are complaining about the smoker's rights being infringed, when the law is there to defend the rights of the otherwise defenseless child.
2. Children of smokers become smokers. Anything that will separate the child from seeing their parent do it is good. |
