There was no excuse for the officers actions, and he should have remained professional.
However, what the video does not show is that person had many prior contacts with the police, set up a camera, and went out intentionally looking for an officer just to set him up. I can only imagine what he said to provoke the officer, because he intentionally left that part out. He only turned the camera on after he became cooperative. |

I am glad that there are more cameras around today. It protects good cops and people from bad cops. And likely makes more cops behave in better ways. |

And what made the officer act like that? The officer's actions are wrong yes, but nobody does that without having been aggravated. Why did the kid have a camera? He was waiting for the cop huh? Sounds more like he was looking for the cop to come to him. Cop got suspended. |

That cop needs to be fired. Bad cops like that make a very bad rep for the ones who actually care and try to do their job right.
The same goes for any profession , you get people who have forgotten why they cared enough to get into the job field they are in and the ones who work really hard at what they do then you have the ones who abuse it , other people have the right to be upset when others abuse the field of work they are in and makes it to where people won't trust them for whatever reason when they have to deal with people in that line of work. |
