a child comes home who is on curfvew 2 hours late, I know it's my responsibility to call his p.o. but for ie., if I don't what will happen to me if things are not reported to the p.o.

it is not "embedding" but "abetting."
Abetting means to support or enable.
In your case, aiding and abetting would be more along the lines of taking your child to a friends house, and dropping him off there, knowing that he has no way of returing home on time.
Not reporting the curfew to the PO, in my opinion, is not aiding or abetting.
However, perhaps the conditions of your son's probation required you to report any violations. If that is the case, that is not aiding and abetting, but a violation of a court order. |

Aiding and "abetting" a minor means that since you KNOW it's your responsibility to contact the PO, and you didn't...you contributed the child's deliquency by allowing them to violate probation by not reporting it. In all probability, nothing will happen to you...but you're certainly not helping the child by allowing them to skirt their responsibilities. |

I think you mean abetting, not embedding. It means that you can be charged with the same crime or infraction as the juvenile.
