What does this ticket mean?

I'm underage and attended a party with alcohol. I never took a breathalyzer or anything but the cop started handing out tickets to everyone. The cops description of violation reads: "Attended underage party with alcohol." It also says I'm in violation of ordinance 51. The weird thing about this is that i attended this party pretty far from my house. In fact it was in Chesterfield, mo. On the bottom of the ticket it has my court date and time. What does this ticket mean exactly and how can i fix this mess.

It's not #51, it's #57.

It's Chesterfield, MO's Minor in Possession of Alcohol Law.

You go to court and talk to the Judge. You will be able to plead either guilty or not guilty.

You don't have to have a breathalyzer to be convicted.

If you look on the back, you will see that it says that you can contest it and send it in, which means you pretty much send in a statment and why you should not be charged for the crime.

The ticket is pretty direct: It says you attended a party in which there were underage people and alcohol present. It does not say anything about your personal intoxication level; therefore there was no need for any kind of intoxication test. I don't know what 'ordinance 51' is - it is probably some type of municipal code for that city - but the way you deal with this issue is to appear in court for your court date.

You might be able to make a change for that date or enter a plea through the mail - call the court and ask if you have that option.

you got a ticket cause you were underage and at a party with alcohol, i would call the number at the bottom of the ticket and see if going to court can be avoided by just paying a fine.

or get a lawyer and have them get you off cause its a first offense and turn on the water works for the judge, you might not get out of it but you could get it where the ticket dropped when you become 'legal age' off your record.
