Pull over to the shoulder of the road or into the parking lot of a business to a safe area away from traffic. If it is dark and you are alone, drive at a slower rate of speed with your emergency lights flashing until you get to an open business like a convenience store to pull into the parking lot. When he approaches your car, tell him you were afraid to pull over in the isolated area. You shouldn't let anyone approach you at night when you are alone - not even a cop. |

Pull over as soon as it is safe to do so.
Do not stop in the middle of the street. |

You pull over at the first safe opportunity. If there is a decent size shoulder, then you pull over there. If he wants you to move somewhere else (a parking lot or whatever) he will instruct you to do so over the loudspeaker. |

The same thing you do when ANY emergency vehicle approaches you (from either direction, BTW) That is immediately pull to the shoulder and STOP. You should not, however, race the emergency vehicle, pull to the shoulder but still keep driving, jam on your brakes in front of him, let him pass then tailgate to get through traffic, do not drive into oncoming traffic, if the emergency vehicle comes to your side of the road also do not play "chicken" with it. |

Try this one. Obey the law and pull over to the side of the road. |

Wait till he gets right behind you, then slam on the brakes.
Seriously, it's best to put your hazard lights on, move over to the slow lane (that's the right lane, if you're in the U.S.) and slow down a bit to show the cop you've acknowledged him, then pull over as soon as there's a good safe area for him to park so he can step out without getting hit by another motorist. Most cops will appreciate it, and will understand if you can't stop immediately. |

You have a right to go to a place where you feel safe (turn lane, well lit parking lot, etc.) Just acknowledge the officer (put on your hazards or something) and don't go obnoxiously far. |

I think you are supposed to pull over to the side of the road or into a parking lot if there is one. |

You're supposed to pull over. Of course, if there's no good place, you can continue driving (SLOWLY) towards the right side of the road or shoulder. |

If he flashes his lights that means it is a warning SLOW DOWN.
If they turn the lights on you, you should come to a complete and safe stop as soon as possible. Shut the motor off and keep your hands in veiw... DONT REACH FOR THE GLOVE BOX FOR THE INSURANCE CARD. If you do you may not have a very plesant meeting with the men and women in blue.... DO not get out of the car.... Just stop/ relax/ and keep your hands on the wheel until the officer requests you to do something... This will keep everyone safe, and noone will get excited

You are supposed to pull over to the side of the road in a safe place for you and the Police Officer, remember to turn your signals to let them know which way are you going...but for the Love of God DO NOT stop in the middle of the road, you can cause a big accident and that will give you another ticket I guess. Even if the Police Officer does not intend to stop you he might just want you to move to the other lane, in that case you can move to the right lane with precaution if He wants to pull you over he wil follow you behind to the same lane, in this case go to the nearest shoulder and use your directionals. Just Be Careful, there are a lot of drivers out there and if you stop all of the sudden you will just cause a chaos. |

If it is an emergency and they are not pulling you over, slow down, and pull to the right as far as you can. If you are being stopped slow down and pull over at a safe location from traffic. This is for yours and the officers safety. Don't stop with part of your car still in the roadway. If you are being stopped once stopped roll down your window, and place both hands on your steering wheel so the officer can see them. Often people will bend over, and start rummaging through the glove box for what they know the officer will want. This puts the officer in more of defensive posture since he does not know exactly what you are doing most likely you are going after insurance and registration, but it could be a weapon, and you are a violent offender. They just don't know. |

Pull over as soon as it is safe to do so. Turn off your engine and remain in your vehicle. Do exactly what the officer tells you to do. |

I always understood that you were supposed to pull over immediately however, just a word of caution....I just got ticketed b/c I crossed a solid street line to pull out of the officers way who was approaching behind me with his lights on. Not sure that was legal for him to issue me a ticket but he did. So, just be careful with how urgent you are to pull over. |

Pull over immediately, put the car in park, turn off the ignition, put your hands on top of the steering wheel where they can be seen, and be polite and don't lie.
You'll be amazed how many tickets you can get out of, I do all the time. |

Never pull over in the middle of the road. Pull over on the side of road. Basically, stop as soon as you notice but make sure you are out of the way of traffic |
