Im from Chicago and i had 2 court dates on April 1st at 9am at the same court building,1 on the 1st floor & 1 on the second floor. I knew about 1 of the court dates but i had no idea of the other. As a result i have a arrest warrant. What can i do?
Additional Details
I went to the court room on the first floor, saw the jugde and took care of that but i never made it to the other because i didnt know about it.

Honestly? If that happens, you KNOW you're in trouble - 1 summons is bad, 2 is terrible.
However, there should have been someone you could ring if you knew before hand. If not, then they couldn't possibly expect you to attend a summons they didn't tell you about.
I would appeal against the decision. |
