What happens if you are a run away for only a day?

What if you just took your bike, wrote a note telling your parents you were going to be back by tomorrow, and then left on your bike to a town a hour away when you bike?

Could the police do anything? What if this was just a way for you to clear your head for a day and get rid of some stress? Not to run away because you are mad at your parents or don't like where you live.

running away is not a good idea.. especially for a day... problems will never go away by making those that love you worry...

Well,that is not very smart.Even if it's only a day,you can still be taken to JDC(Juvenile Detention Center),when you do return home.

That sounds silly. Maybe it would be better to just ask your parents or something.

You might clear your head for an hour but when you get back and are grounded for weeks it might not be worth it.

You can't 'runaway' to a parent approved sleep over at a friends house?

Sarah. Your parents could have you arrested if they filed a police report and decided to take out a juvenile petition for runaway. It doesn't matter how long you are gone. A petition is for juveniles. It is the same as a warrant for an adult. Take advice from a cop. Don't go anywhere. Try to talk to someone you trust. Even if its not a parent.
