is this the same in all states in US?
if you are out of work and are unable to find anything what do they do about payments for classes and court costs and bi weekly or montly probation fees?
if you absolutely are absolutley unable to pay any amount of money...will they at least offer you a way to work it off?
or can you just put off payments until you can find a job?
how long will they give you to do this usually?
please explain.

I have seen Community Service done.
Work with your PO and court to see what can be done.

If you want the best answer to these questions you should ask your probation officer. My theory is if it is misdemeanor move out of the county you live in and stay out. They will not issue an out of state, or out of county warrant for your arrest if you move. Probation is designed to screw the lives of young people up so badly that they never leave the crappy town they live in.
If you move without telling them you violated the terms of your probation. If you are not making payments you violated the terms of your probation. Find a friend in another county or state you can stay with, and call your PO from there, and ask what he says if you like his answer go back to that county. If you don't like his answer then don't go back. |
