So I was watching a show about packed prisons. A thought came to my mind, what happens when there is a natural disaster in a prison? Do all the cell blocks come unlocked? Is everyone free? What happens?

Our county jail is right on the river, whenever the river floods the prisoners are moved to the higher floors and if nessessary are bussed to neighboring counties for housing until the river goes down, however, I think if it was like an earthquake or something that can't be prepared for it'd be every man for himself until they rounded everyone up |

when I was in jail a guard was talking about this to us. They said since we where on the honor farm we pretty much could go free because the guards would be taken to safety, and it wouldn't be hard to climb the fence. The inmates inside are screwed though, and will be locked down with no guards. |
