What happens when you get pulled over for drunk driving?

Do they make you take a test? Do they let you go?

Generally, they don't let you go.

You go to jail.

You lose your license.

You pay a big fine.

You take classes.

You get a criminal record.

They make you take a test, and if you refuse to take it then they'll arrest you for that. So I suggest you just do the test. You will go to jail for OVI which is the same thing as DUI. Then you will lose your license. You'll have to pay a fine. Then when your license is done being suspended you have to go back and re-pay to get a new one, plus re-take the written and manuverability test too. So don't drink and drive.

You take a few field sobriety tests and if you fail those, you take a breathalyser test. If it shows over .08, you are taken to the station, under arrest, and given another breathalyzer test or blood test. If you refuse to take the tests, you lose your license for a certain amount of time.

you get a sobriety test, you go to jail, you definetly lose your license. you take classes, depending what you blew on the breathalizer determines whether or not its a felony, or misdemeanor.

In the UK they arrest you and take you to the police cells over night and eventually you appear at court for the outcome, they also arrange for your car to be put in compound? You may have to retake your test if you are disqualified for 3 years for drunk driving?
