What is a VERY large group of Irish Pirates plotted together and started attacking our ocean side? Say, for example, these pirates come by the thousands, in about a hundred pirate ships. They are armed with olden day pirate cannons and start attacking our land.

We've advanced quite a bit in technology since the day of pirates, so if they came in with 18th century technology, we'd be able to subdue them quite easily. However, if they came with modern day technology, it'd basically be going to war, and may the better men (and women) win. |

They would be destroyed in less than an hour by our navy. Probably wouldn't take that long, modern Cruisers and Destroyers would blow them out of the water before they even saw what was killing them. They could come in a thousand pirate ships and the only thing that would slow up the process would be having enough ammo on board to kill them all. A Carrier group could destroy them all so fast it would make your head spin. |
