Five to twenty for first serious offense, twenty to life for second, and death for third. Suddenly there would be a large drop in the crime rate.

With the governments the way they are, I really don't know. They keep rewriting the laws to give the lawbreakers a better chance to stay out of prison. My personal belief is if they would do away with lethal injections and the electric chair and bring back good old public hangings, that would slow it down some and instead of letting the murderers sit for 10 to 20 years on death row and eat up tax dollars, if they are sentenced to death, set a date and put them to death and stop caulding them. They are murderers and I think once a sentence is passed, that they should go straight to the gallows. If more people could see a public hanging, a lot of crime would stop, but we have too many bleeding heart liberals in office that say it's inhumane. Was it inhumane for whoever it was sitting in that prison cell to go out and murder your next door neighbors little girl, or shoot the corner store's night attendant for $50.00? It was a total disregard for human life and it should be dealt with accordingly and swiftly. Sorry, sore subject, but you asked. |

The psychopathic killers, rapists and child molesters cannot be rehabilitated, and they are of no use to themselves or society, so I think they need to be quietly put to sleep.
Why? Because the average person can live well on the amount of money it costs to keep a prisoner.
We need to USE the death penalty. Oh, I've heard all the rhetoric about playing god, etc. To those people I say: we are ALL going to die someday-- homicide victims die a crueler death than a person who is given a lethal injection, so eliminate the ghoul. |

Criminals could stop doing crime, but I would hold out much for that happening, crime is so profitable with next to no overhead expenses. Sure, there are risks, but what in life isn't a risk, even legit things. |

One new exciting trend is called house-arrest. The authorities tie on a leg-strap GPS device and they know the person's positions at all times. This is a very promissing but could be costly for the device. However, since it cost so much to house an inmate, I think I will be cost effective in the long run. The big question is wil the person commit a crime again and would society want a criminal living among them. |

The next time they commit crime execute them....and Tell them I dont want your crime record to grow like a biography...like everybody else it... doesnt make sense for you to in and out in jail....wait thats not the problem....they really want them to commit crime to make a money....if they dont commit crime the law enforcement and correctional facility get laid off.... |
