What is the most dumbest criminal you had ever heard of?

In Washington state, some guy had been walking along a row of stores within the town and notices a liquior store. So, he suggested on what to do is to stand at close range, throw a brick at it to break entry then grab some booze and make a run for it. So, he grabbed out a brick stood at the glass pane window and really hard threw the object at the window. But the attempt made was completely unsuccessful. What happened is within a couple of seconds after he threw it at the window it bounced back stuck him in the head, knocking him unconscious. Comes to finding out the window to the store he struck at was made of plexiglass. Which would be hard to break with a solid object that is thrown. Best thing is on this outcome....the whole incident was captured on videotape. Who knows! you probably see the video sample off of Youtube! If they didn't release the footage throughout the internet for the public to witness that my bad. Bright side is; this is definitely a true event that had taken place and you know what happened from start to finish.

While eating dinner with a another officer a stoned guy came down and told us his buddy stole his coke, so we went with him to his motel room where we found his buddy with about a kilo and the dufus says that's mine and he stole it, the other genius says no I paid him for this dope and it is mine. So we seize the coke and take both down to local jail where they proceed to tell us where they bought it and who from, taking this we get a search warrant and get two more bright guys and 5 more kilo's took us about 4 hours. Now that is dumb!

There are two that stand out as the dumbest criminals.

A guy robbed a convenience store. He wore a ski mask covering his face, but he was also wearing his work shirt with his name and employer embroidered on the front.

My favorite is the guy who robbed a Fotomat kiosk (they were small booths in parking lots which sold and developed film in the '70s). The robber must have thought the girl in the booth was cute because he called her a few days later, apologized for scaring her and asked her for a date. She accepted, but didn't tell him about the police chaperon waiting for him when he arrived to pick her up at the booth.

A drunk man snuck into a convenience store after closing time and went onto the roof and fell in. He drank more and the doors were locked. He had to get a ladder to get back up but was too drunk to get up.He kept falling down and out of the vents. He waited until morning time and the owner came in and he was arrested. This was on the news.

A guy walked into a store threatening to blow it up by pressing a detonator unless they gave him all the money they had. What the criminal didn't notice, was that the "detonator" was clearly displaying its SEARS logo.

My entry (this case came before me when I was serving on a grand jury):

There was a drought in the area, and someone managed to accidentally set fire to a field by shooting off some fireworks. They called the fire department, who extinguised the grass fire. The fire marshall warned the resident that the authorities were on the verge of calling for a county-wide burn ban due to the dry conditions, and strongly suggested that the residents not shoot off any more fireworks until the drought was over. He then asked if the residents had any more fireworks, and they admitted that they did.

Being the fire marshall, and safety conscious, he asked to inspect the location where the fireworks were stored to ensure they were stored properly and safely. The residents directed him to a storage shed at the back of the property. Inside the shed, he noticed a video camera sitting in the middle of the floor. He asked the residents if he could examine the video camera, and they agreed. There was a tape in the camera, which he played (the batteries were still fresh).

The tape depicted the back of a grocery store at night. A short time after the tape began, one of the residents was shown on the tape to approach the store, force a back door open, and enter. As the tape rolled, that resident later emerged with as many cartons of cigarettes as he could carry. As the tape rolled, additional residents could be seen making "cigarette runs" into the store.

The fire marshall notified the local police who picked up everyone at the house who had participated in the grocery store burglary ring.

Yes, the grand jury handed down a true bill of indictment. That is, once we all stopped laughing. I mean, it was awful nice of the crooks to provide a videotape of their crime to the police.

Sadly, though, there's no smoking at the county jail. No fireworks allowed, either.

Two people broke into a lady's house in broad daylight. Several neighbors watched them break into the front door and called the cops. About three minutes after the first 911 call, the cops arrive at the house and find the two burglars each with a bag full of about $1000 worth of stuff rewarding themselves for a job well done by smoking a couple crack rocks...while still inside the victim's house.

all criminals are dumb, in my opinion. breaking the law is just stupid. but this guy would be one of my favorites: go on youtube and search for "worst liquor store robbery ever". it's hilarious.
