Not Going to the Court When You Are Summoned To Be A Witness But Are Afraid For Your Life??? The Situation Is I Was In A Car With My Friends One Day, One Is A Gang Member And I Never Really Got In Trouble Before But He Had Shot Out The Car At Someones House, No One Was Hurt But The Driver Got Scared (We Were All Scared) and Pulled Over And The Cops Got There Before We Can Escape, Noe The DA Dropped The Charges On Us Because They Weren't Filed On Time But Before They Were Dropped We Were Charged With Accessory Of Conspiracy To Murder. Now They Said That I Will Be Summoned But In California And Being A Latino In A Gang Area That's A Big NO... How Long Would I Get If I Don't Go?

umm well for one what the hell where u doing with a gang member and uhh you match for conspericy for murder and uhhh if u dont go you may be charged with second hand and helping a atemt onm murder so go and if you get charged its kinda your falt (no afence ) but dont hang with gang member and i used to live in cali so i know what your goig through just face the jugde and if u do time jusrt do it and get it over with |

Call a Lawyer and or Go to the DA with your fears. it seem you have a right to protect yourself or even plead the 5th. If you are forced to testify. ; )
Also see about applying for an court appointed Attorney sense this is magor case and the Prosecuting Attorney needs your testimony. You really need a Lawyer so try to get one for the court has to pay for; after all they need you.
But try pleading the 5th under the grounds that your life and your family’s will be in jeopardy of physical harm. ; ) |

I would relocate if I were you. You may not be summoned after all. but you need a new place with out gang friends. |

you can go , BUT they can not make you talk.. since charges against you have been they shouldn't be able to charge you again.
take the 5th.. it simply means you do not have to talk.. if they put you on the stand.. say 'i am pleading the5th" then just sit there;. |
