What is the procedure upon arrival at the jail when dealing with a prisoner who is on several medications?

If the prisoner is unsure of all of his meds and the dosages, does the jail need to contact the prisoner's physician? Or is it ok for them to just guess on the dosages based on some kind of standard perhaps?

many prisoners die within our prison system due to inadequate physicians and inadequate mental/physical care.

my boyfriend was overdosed on heart medication and high blood pressure meds once he got incarcerated and it started while waiting in reception at tracy correctional center......he was overdosed for months and never got adequate care even though i had him file many grievances.
thank goodness he's out of that hole today and has a decent physician.

i'm just pleased my man is recovering today and has a chance to clean up his system and get back to a productive lifestyle ..... so many inside the california prison system are doomed to failure/illnesses/death because of over crowding and the publics lack of concern for those who got caught doing something illegal.

most of us never get caught and we are fortunate and hopefully have empathy towards those less fortunate ..... ahhh, that would only happen in a perfect world

Easy Question have you ever heard of the go to jail card in monopoly? well in his or her case go to hospital card if the prisons infirmary can not handle his or her sitituation!

after intake procedures they are usually moved to a mental health unit or infirmary pod

If the meds are not in the original rx bottle wit the dose amount on it then the meds are not permitted.
