When I was 19, an officer gave a friend of mine a ticket for allegedly "driving a motor vehicle on the sidewalk". It was completely bogus -- 1. it was a motorcycle, 2. there was a ramp there to allow access to a designated parking area for scooters and motorcycles 3. the quite out of shape and overweight police officer assumed that we had ridden on the sidewalk and didn't care that there was a ramp, etc.

He gave a little speech "we have regulations in this state regarding driving a motorized vehicle on the sidewalk", and handed my friend the ticket. I figured, he's already written us a ticket, so I politely asked "I thought we had regulations in our state regarding physical fitness of police officers?"

Is this a joke... A smart mouth of any kind will have me climbing all over you and are passengers, I will search your car, run all of your passangers, and look deeper into everything the smarter you get. Just be respectful and have everything in order and you will be on your way.

I have written 5 tickets to one driver for a smart mouth and bad attitude, so keep it up...
