Depends on the state....
All states require the background check (instant background check) and completing of the BATF forms. Some states (like California) have a waiting period, so you can't take it home immediately, but other states allow you to take it home as soon as you've purchased it.
Some states have limits as to what firearms can be purchased; ie, California has a list of banned firearms, as do other states. Also, some evidence of training is usually required (NRA, hunting license, military or LE ID), and some states (such as Illinois) require a special firearms owners ID (FOID) card.

Not advertising yourself as a hitman would help you get them legally, but the biggest differences in the legal gun acquisition process depends on your state.
If you are a hitman, you'll probably do better on the black market. No strings attached there, and you can get full autos and grenades and other cool stuff too. |

most times you have to fill out some kind of application. in which they do a background check. and then give you a permit to own it i think. and then you have to wait to be acepted. iv bought guns at k-mart. walmart. and gander mountin. fill out there little thing. they make a phone call. and when everything comes out good. i give them the cash and they give me my rifle. |
