Here's the deal. It was Prom night, and after Prom ended around 5 a.m. Me and my group left the building at around 4:30 a.m, and proceeded to leave. Our cars were located near the back corner of the parking lot, and as we climbed in, we noticed that another person in our group and his date were sleeping inside his car. So, we drove in one or two FULL circles around the car and honked the horn twice. A cop at the parking lot pulls us over, tells me that I could've hit a pedestrian and killed someone (we are in an back corner of an almost empty parking lot at 4:30 a.m) and he ticketed me for careless driving. Is there any possible way I can fight this ticket and win? It looks like it's a 4 point reduction and a summon to court. However, no fine was assessed to me.

I'm guessing that the prom was at your school, and so the parking lot was public property.
And I'm also guessing that by driving in full circles around a parked car that you were entering and exiting parking spaces next to the car, and appearing in the traffic lanes from between parked cars with the horn going and probably not at three miles an hour.
Sounds like careless driving to me, too. I don't think you'd win if you protested this ticket. I think the only difference between paying this ticket and fighting it is that by fighting it, you'd also have to pay court costs after you're found guilty.
Harsh news, I understand, but true.
