Depends, but generally you put one log on the fire, wave, and walk away.
You are less likely to get shot if you do that. Don't worry, the owners of the still were watching you from behind the trees.
What you do AFTER you clean your drawers because of the close call? I don't know, maybe get your phone book, look in the "government" section (often, blue pages). Find the phone for Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms.
Or you could forget you were ever there. In the long run, it might be safer. But calling ATF is the right thing to do. |

If you discover a still anywhere, you better close your eyes and your mouth. The moonshiners might be nearby and if they think you'll report them, your life is in danger.
If you come on a still, you should say loudly "OK I'm leaving this place now." If you are an advance person for loggers or developers, you should say loudly "I'm leaving but the man's surveyors are coming in a day or so."
Moonshining is not a game, the people involved are risking their own lives - anyone else is a danger or a nuisance. |

(Don't forget to blue flame test it first...Pour some in a teaspoon and light it ...If it doesn't burn with a blue flame its either tainted with impurities or isn't high enough in alcohol to ignite.)
