You need to pay the ticket. Do you still have the citation with you. You can pay it online or mail the payment to DMV.

You need to go down to the Court where the citation was processed and indicate that you want to pay the ticket.
Don't let them find you first , cause you'll get arrested.
There will be no recourse if you take care of it before they arrest you.

If you want to challenge it in court, all you have to do is "plea not guilty"

Just be aware that there should be two warrants out for your arrest : 1 the violation and 2 the FTA (failure to appear) which usually is more expensive than the first.

Go to the court and pay it. Borrow the money if you have to, but pay it. The warrant is probably about the warrant, and paying it will solve it. When I was young, I let some tickets get away and it ended up costing me 300.00 in the 1960's.
Three Hundred buck then taught me it was not worth the hazel to let the amount grow like a monster out to get you. Good luck!

If you get stopped for anything, they will run your record and then it's bye-bye. I would call the judge's office and confess and ask them if you can pay it. Do you have the money? If not, ask if they will accept payments. Prearrange your visit. You may spend a night in jail and then see the judge the next day. At least that's the way it happens here. That's why you call first, to be sure that's the way it happens there.

well my girlfriend was in the same situation and later made a simple mistake and a cop just happened to be there, nothing serious right, well she got arrested and spent the night in jail and had to pay fine as well, my suggestion is call the number on the notice you received in the mail about your ticket and see what you can do, if you have the money pay it otherwise prepare to meet crackheads, drunks, thugs, homies and all that. so just pay

call judge. make apology and excuse for not showing and or paying. ask if you sent so much money and agree to pay weekly/monthly payments would he please drop the outstanding warrant for your arrest.

Depends on how far away the court where you got the ticket is located. IF it is out of your area, write to them, and ask if you can pay the fine, and take care of both the ticket and the outstanding warrant. If it is nearby, you could telephone the court, and ask the same thing. They may tell you to come to the court and pay the fine, or that you can take care of it by mail (or phone--some courts today allow you to do it online, or by credit card ! ). But do NOT wait until they pull you over for some other violation. Then it will be too late, and you will spend some time in the jail until your arraignment. Usually, if it is just a simple ticket, and it has not gone too long, they let you just pay the fine and clean up the ticket without arrest if you go into the court and talk to the court clerk at the traffic court department. Sometimes, the judge has to vacate the warrant himself, It depends on the state and the county and city involved. It differs from one jurisdiction to another. Mostly, they just want the money, not your body in the jail, so usually they just fine you and discharge the warrant.

If not, they arrest you, you go to jail when they catch up with you

Nothing. They are not going to extradite you for a moving violation.
