What specifically do you do when meet with Probation Officer?

if for a simple domestic assault charge, what do you do when you meet with them?
is it normally once a week?
how long do you spend with them?
how long waiting?
what if you cant pay because you are on welfare and no job, homeless?
if not needing drug test and cant pay, what do you need to meet them for>?
please explain.

You generally visit them once a week for 12 weeks then it goes down to once every forthight until you order is up..
You spend however much time it takes and yes you may wait...
If you can't pay a fine (which has nothing to do with a PO order) you fill in a form declaring your earnings and agree an amount payable to court..
You need to meet a PO to make damn sure you're not on the same path you were when you committed the offence and prove/show that you are changing your ways ie. anger management in your case and they can and will put you on these courses.. they can also help with retraining to get you in a job.. Use them for the good of yourself that is ultimately what they are there for not to slap you down but to help you back up.. |
