EVERY state allows women to be police officers. In fact, many bigger police departments give women applicants extra points on the test in order to increase their numbers on the police force

Every state and every city in the United States has women police officers. If they didn't allow that it would be discrimination and the law suits would cripple the nation. Some of the best police officers in this country are women.

n California there are a lot of women working as Police Officers, and the Sheriff Department. The same is true in Colorado, Ohio and Nevada.

Times have changed from the 70s, women makeup some of the best police officers out there. If a woman can die in combat operations in Iraq, then certainly they can perform duties as a Law Enforcement Officer.

I would suggest that you get at least a 2 year degree in Criminal Justice prior to joining. Because that will make it easier for you to get promoted. As with any profession, the people with the most education will get promoted through the ranks to the most senior positions.

I'm pretty sure every state allows women to become police officers...in fact the city where I live in the police chief is a woman! The FBI has been recruiting women since the 60's.

all states allow women officers, we have discrimination laws that prevent them from accepting a qualified woman officer.

if you apply to become a police officer in your area and they tell you that you cannot apply or become one due to the fact that you are female, you can file a lawsuit against that department for gender discrimination and win.
