I am no lawyer but I know what I would consider in this situation. A 90 foot leash does not consitute containing your dog. Regardless is happened on your property.... it would be the same as if he slipped on the driveway.

If you are super lucky the guy will chalk it up as to something that just happened. It is very doubtful though. Odds are UPS will push it through since he might claim that he needed a day off, claimed on his medical or whatever.

The guy could claim all sorts of things. Hundreds of thousands. And you probably will no longer have a dog.

You'll have to pay all his medical bills, at a minimum.

Worst case, you'll have to have the dog put to sleep if the authorities determine that it's a danger to people.

Hope you dog has had his rabies shots. Expect a law suit maybe quarantine for the dog.

Possible law suit, probably a visit from the police and animal control. Minimum you will probably have to pay the medical bills, max, you may have to surrender you dog and he may be put down if he is found to be a danger. It all depends on the laws in your state. Good luck.

there going to put you dog to sleep...should have trained you pit bull they shouldn't be allowed to own unless there highly trained. Expect a law suit could i would sew in a heart beet. o any thing his insurance doesn't cover you'll have to pay...good luck

Charges will be filed - and you can expect to have your dog removed. Also, your homeowner's insurance will be billed for his medical bills - and if you don't have homeowners, then you will be sued.

You are begging for problems. With a leash set up like that, you are lucky the Post Office doesn't refuse to deliver to your home, and if anyone gets bitten again, then the dog is a habitual biter, and will be put down... AND you will lose everything you have in a lawsuit.

I hope ya dont' get sued. His manager might had to call to get the facts b/c he can claim workers comp. so, hopefully, he'll just be satisfied with workers comp from his company

You better turn over the dog. Make sure you are very remorseful. Hire a lawyer pronto. No more talking to anyone besides a lawyer. You might have some community service and a huge fine if you hire a good lawyer. Time to lawyer up now.

OMG! I feel so bad for you, I'm sure that guys going to sue you. What makes me sad about this is that your dog was just doing his job protecting his family. I know for a fact that my Boxer would have done the same thing if some dude was on my porch in the dark. Try not to let it ruin your Christmas and pray for the best. Expect to be sued. At a very minimum, they will settle for medical bills. However you never know. Dont do anything. Let them make teh first move, and then consult an attorney. Do Not try to do it alone.

You have a dangerous dog that bit a human. Your dog should be put down and you should be held liable for the dogs behavior.

Expect law enforcement to get involved. Expect to have your dog put down.

The UPS guy most likely will make a police report about the dog bite. If he goes to the hospital or to see a doctor for it you may receive a notice from your local health department to provide your dogs shot record, plus a quarantine notice. It is likely that the guy will sue, but you never know.

Yes you will be sued by the driver, UPS and probably the state's Worker's Compensation Department. Then you will be cited by the local animal control. Finally you and your husband will be put to sleep and the dog will be fined. Or maybe that's how it should be, I might have that last part bass ackward.

I am not a lawyer...worked for them years on end, but that does not qualify me.

Based on what you said you are okay.
