I have to go to court for theft of 1100 dollars and altering bank accounts. The D.A. offered and deal to my lawyer saying they can make this 1 offense and I plead guilty to embezzlement and do 2 years in a female correction facility. What happens if I don't take the deal?

Based on previous questions, this seems excessive. Your lawyer needs to bargain for a better deal.
But ultimately, if you don't take some sort of deal, you will go to trial. If you are convicted, you will likely get a stiffer sentence than if you plead guilty.
Another option would be to plead guilty and let the judge set the sentence. The DA will likely ask the judge for more than 2 years. Your lawyer will get to try to convince the judge that the DA's recommendations are excessive.
Just how many counts are you facing, if they are not reduced as per the deal? |

If they want to make a second offer they may. I recommend listening to your attorney. They know the players (DA and judge) better than you do. They may yet want to avoid a trial and make a yet better offer or may not.
It depends alot about where you live and how bad they are strapped for cash. Trials are very expensive and time consuming. The avoiding trial is in some places feathers in the cap of the prosecuter. In other places longer sentences are the feather in the cap. |

You go to court, and you have to try to defend yourself against the original charges. They will amount to more than two years punishment. It's up to you to decide if it's worth it. |
