What would be the punishment for me if I came into questioning for a crime I might know about and I just refused to answer questions about a certain person and anything that had to do with him? I'm fourteen, by the way.

I didn't have anything to do with the crime, I know people that did though.
Also, I'm asking what would happen if I didn't answer their questions period. I don't care if parents and attorneys (which I'm not getting by the way, I didn't do anything wrong) are there, I refuse to answer. So can I get in trouble for that?

You have the right not to answer questions if answering may incriminate YOU. You do not have the right to refuse to answer if the answer may incriminate someone else. You could get charged with something along the lines of obstructing justice. |

Your fourteen, learn to do the right thing at a young age. If a crime was committed and you know details, you should answer questions. The right thing to do is to co operate. Your a minor, so they cannot make you answer questions without an attorney or parent present. |

If you're fourteen, you should tell them that you won't answer any questions without your parents or an attorney. Actually, both would be preferable. |

I recommend that if this is a real issue for you that you consult an attorney.
If this does happen to you I recommend that you tell them that you wish to talk to your attorney first before you talk to them.
If they refuse to let you talk to an attorney, tell them that you will not talk to them unitl you have spoken with your attorney.
They cannot punish you for refusing to talk to them without talking with your attorney first.
They may threaten you or harass you but there is nothing that they can do legally to you because you asked to talk to your attorney before you talk to them.
