Lock them up for life in a 3 foot by 3 foot cell. Solitary confinement, no lights, bucket for waste, 6 hours of sleep out of 24. Moldy bread and dirty water for food, and in the case of Couey, make the SOB have nightmares about what he did and wish for death every day.

Its either that or lethal injection as soon as possible.

If you're asking what I think the law should be and what the statutory sentences should be -- there's a reason I didn't become a legislator.

As to the individual, I wasn't at the trial, so I don't know what evidence was presented, or what aggravating or mitigating factors were presented during sentencing.

Castrate them, or hang them by their balls and leave them there. These would never by allowed, but if I had a say in it, I would do these things first before putting them away FOREVER, with no chance of ever getting out. I also think solitary confinement would be something they deserve.

Arrest them, prosecute them, throw them into general population and make sure their fellow inmates know what kind of scum is living amongst them. Criminals have standards too and I'd be willing to bet that it won't be long till he is found dead in a latrine with a plunger sticking out of his backside.

Just what is being done to them now. There's nothing an inmate hates more than a child rapist, molester or murderer. 95% of inmates killed by other inmates are convicted of child crimes. Inmates don't like them because in their eyes, it could have been their kids that this happened to, and they wouldn't be there to protect them. I know this, because I have an uncle who has been in prison since I was about 5 years old(i'm 35 now). I asked him once, when we went to visit him about 10 years ago.

If the objective is revenge, there's really no method that could satisfy the desire for revenge, so it would be pointless to think of 'fitting' ways to execute him.

I'd prefer they execute him to life in prison, as the cost of feeding him for life seems to a waste of good money, and for the method, I lean toward keeping the cost down (ropes are re-useable).

And no, I really don't care if he was mentally retarded or comatose. A nine year old girl is dead, and her last moments were far more horrible than the living can possibly fathom.
