2nd grader????? He needs to have his butt whipped!
I know people will disagree with me, but it's the truth!
If someone doesn't get this child under control now, I would hate to hear what he is doing at 12, 14, 19 years old! |

If it were my kid (which I hope I never have) i would have gone on the bus and grabbed him off the bus. |

Sorry - I raised my child to know better than that. She is in 2nd grade and is very respectful to her elders, especially the police.
And if she did turn around and do something so disrespectful, I would have let her stay in custody for as long as possible.
Nothing excuses that behavior but inadequate parenting. |

Sorry my boys know better than to act in such a manner and this was a clear case of the parents failing to establish clear codes of conduct/behavior. |

It never would have been one of my children. Discipline, and respect begins at home. |

Well, my parents would have grounded me forever because it also makes them look bad and shames them...but the child must have learned it from somewhere and the most influential ppl in the life of a second grader are his parents so maybe they should be to blame |

leave the kid in juvenile to teach him a lesson. |

I would have apologized to the officer and I would have let the kid sit in juvie for a day or two. Then when he got home he would have lost television rights for a while. This means no video games either. If this is common behavior for the child I would take him to a child psychologist. If it is uncommon behavior we would talk about it and try to find out why he did what he did. TV and video games still off limits and still grounded. |

I would take him down to apologize to the officer himself after I spat in his face and called him names and asked how he liked it.. |

A SECOND grader??
Too late. This kid is the product of terrible parenting. They have not taught that kid anything...especially RESPECT. They have not taught him anything about how to behave.
He will probably grow into just another street thug.
And - the parents shouldn't have apologized....they should have taken the kid down to the police department and had the KID apologize to the officer - and to the kids on the bus - and to the principal...
Oh...wait a minute...I forgot....they are lousy parents and are raising a bully. |

Bad parents, he has obviously never been shown respect to him.I believe if you want respect you need to give respect, no matter how old or young. I would of made him apologize not me. And he would be in trouble for quite a while, life would not be fun for him. Luckily I have a great Son who is 10 and would never do this. By the way I might add since it seems a lot of us get bashed. I am a single working Mom. |

I would let him free but make sure that he learns a lesson. Like maybe staying overnight in juvie would not be such a bad idea. |
