We MADD mothers have lost a child due to irresponsible drunk drivers. Until you have lost a child because of an *** hole who is so selfish and stupid you would see what is wrong with us MADD mothers. Rest in peace Melissa (age 2)

the problem with these mad mothers is that they lost a child to drinking and driving. they should lower the BAC to .04 If you can't find a designated driver or can't afford a cab like an adult then stay a home

Yes what about the poor dead people that were hit by someone who cant think intelligently enough to take a freaking cab home when they're loaded. I mean they're dead right? That's OK as long as it doesn't stop you from driving home drunk. Why cant you repeat offenders learn after 1 infraction that you don't drive drunk . Yes most repeat their offence even after killing someone.

I'm a man and I'm not a mother, nor have I lost a child to an impaired driver.But if it was up to me you would never drive again. I am a member of MADD and believe in their mission. Have you ever seen a young person in a totally wrecked car, dead? Have you ever seen an entire family wiped out and killed by a drunken driver, they were innocent. If you want to drink yourself silly, I don't care, just don't drive, call a Taxi, if you don't and drive drunk it could ruin your entire life and how will you live with the knowledge, that your behavior cost someones life. How can you call this behavior fun and I am glad the Police doing an excellent job to catch drunken drivers.

MADD mothers are mothers who have lost children due to drunk drivers. So they have a right to be MADD. It isn't an issue of having fun it is keep other mother's children safe. Imagine losing someone to a drunk driver, you would be doing what the are.

I am not a drinker and it isn't because I have lost someone to a drunk driver and it isn't because I have been caught drinking and driving, I just don't drink. But I know plenty of people who do including my husband. I have been the designated driver at every outing for more than 25 years and I don't mind it. Everyone I know and love and people I have never met make it home safely every time we go out. These poor guys need to think ahead and get a designated driver to go with them. Everyone will live longer and be happier if they do.

Drunk drivers are a big problem, and courts are too weak on punishment for now.

They need to be sent to jail for the first time and more jail each time.

MADD is one of the best lobby groups to get these dangious people off the street.

Go out for one or two drinks, and no problem, go out to get drunk and you don't need to be driving

At .06 your risk of an accident is double that of a sober driver. The fact that the law allows you to achieve a level higher than that without getting arrested for putting people's lives at risk is too lenient in my view. It's nowhere near impossible to go out for drinks. Limit yourself to one or two, designate a driver to stay sober and see the rest of your party home safely, call a cab, hop on a bus for all I care. But don't go out there and get plowed and then get out on the streets with me and my loved ones!

you must not care about your mom, dad , brother sister friends, future kids grand-kids or any one else who will ever walk on a side walk drive a car or be anywhere near a road. if you did you would not ask this question i think the bac should be .01 and just so you know i do drink but am smart enough to know that my kids and yours and every one Else are more important than me driving after just one drink.

Whether a person is too drunk or not should be left up to the drunk....er, I mean the drinking driver that just had a little one, but not enough to be drunk. And besides, if other people don't want to get hurt by folks just out having a little fun, then they shouldn't be out on the road. Their own damn fault! I feel dizzy.

Hey, not all car accidents are alcohol related kids die every day and alcohol is not the culprit.the MADD people act like they are the only ones that ever lost a child.

I totally agree with you. There are road blocks set up near bars or clubs, so even if people are driving safely they can be caught in a sting. I think law enforcement should concentrate on violent crimes including domestic abuse and especially child abuse. These people get a slap on the wrist, but people who are arrested for alcohol or drugs have a mandatory sentence. If you get caught with an ounce of pot you'll do more time than if you beat your wife within an inch of her life. Which is worse?

I have no problems with being against drinking, but when the local MADDs are the leading dealerin meth, coke, and pot it seems like a joke. Or when they don't settle for destroying the life but hounding the victim for years after they destroyed their life, then the ones who beleave the end justifies the means they and the dirty cops on the take end up breaking more laws and screwing up more lives than anyone should have the right to

I don't mind being against drunk driving but in my area they've et up their own law choosing what laws and rights to protect or break, many are using it as a front while they deal coke, meth, pot, then when someone gets in their way they use their network of dirty cops to get rid of them.
