Hunker down. Because if the bullets start flying I don't want to be caught in the crossfire. Where I live they don't bring out the helicopter just to get the lunch order quicker.

I don't ignore it, that would be like the ostrich with it's head in the ground... it's not there, it will go away, it's not there, it will go away.

1. Look outside
2. Close my open windows
3. Lock any doors if they are open

Better safe than sorry.

Nowadays, there are so many choppers in my city (radio people checking the traffic, police, Air Force stuff), I mostly just ignore chopper sounds, as they are just more background city noises.

ONCE-UPON-A-TIME, however... oh about 30 years ago or so... I was about 15, my brother 16, and my little sis, 10. We had just gotten home to our quiet little neighborhood one night and there were police helicopters flying low with their search lights combing the back yard. Mom, Brother, Sister, me, and the dog ran back out to the car to go "rubberneck" the "action." We pointed to where the helicopter was flying and Mom tried to follow in the car. She turned a corner and then stopped. We kids, eyes fixed on the sky, were yelling, Mom! He's getting away! They're going that way! Why aren't you going?! Then we all dropped our eyes and looked straight ahead at what she was looking at. There was a uniformed man, on his belly, across the street from us, with a rifle pointed in our direction (maybe not AT us, but he was obviously "at the ready"). We looked down past the man on his belly to see a S.W.A.T. van and lots of red and blue flashing lights.

Yep. We saw "the action." Then quietly and humbly turned around and went home. Amazingly enough. That pretty much cured our family-wide rubbernecking disease. Makes for a funny memory at family gatherings, though.

are u kidding i will go out side to see what up besides the chopper. i have been chased by one on several occasions. they are dam hard to get away from as well.

Generally ignore it. After all, you cannot do not know what they are looking for. Unless of course there are strange persons taking cover in your garden - in which case, RING THE POLICE!
