Well, it would always be justified by the community and their own standards but not by the Government itself...
When people take a stand against the Government, they have to fly solo... so to speak. The government, no matter how corrupt cannot justify contributing to its own demise.
Think of the story of Robin Hood... he robbed wealthy government leaders to give to the poor oppressed community... They loved him for it, but he wasn't made an honorary Sheriff of Nottingham. |

How about when Bernard Goetz ventilated those 4 punks on the NY subway after he got sick of being a victim all the time? (Goetz was slightly built, and had been strong armed more than once by punks on the subway. So he armed himself and ended up shooting 4 punks who tried to rob him) What's ironic is, of the 4 criminals he shot, the only one who ended up not going to prison at some point after his wounding for some other crime was the one who wound up in a wheelchair. Goetz, of course, was prosecuted for daring to defend himself. They should have gave him the key to the city instead. |
