When it comes to drunk driving why is this?

My friend was caught drunk driving for the second time ( Here in Michigan ) and got 90 days. Another friend has been caught 4 times in 6 years and has not done one day in jail. One is rich. ( Family rich ) The other is poor. The poor man goes to jail and the rich man stays out of jail because he hires a high price attorney and has big powerful money to stay out of jail. The rich guys laughs at the police when he sees them in a restaurant and says " Here I am and look! I still have my drivers lic". So why is it if you have big bucks you can stay out of jail and keep driving but it you make 10 dollars an hour you go to jail.

Don't get me wrong the rich family paid a lot for the lawyer. The lawyer says "You pay me this much and I promise you "YOU" will keep your drivers lic and you will not spend a day in jail". The rich keep driving drunk and the poor goes to jail and loses jobs and pays high insurance rates. The rich get off.

It wouldn't surprise me if the "money handling" issue is true. It happens here (florida) too. All the time really. It is sad. Rich people can kill just as many people driving drunk as poor people can. What is the difference?! Maybe your rich friend needs to spend some of that $$$ on AA meetings and quit getting so many DUI's. Either way, tell them both good luck.

Sounds pretty shady to me. If you have money you can get away with anything, though. Look at OJ Simpson for crying out loud! That's just the way the world works I suppose. The rich do what they want, when they want, and the poor man just gets poorer.
