Federal law states if the gun is unloaded, and carried in a compartment that cannot be accessed without leaving the passenger compartment, you are safe in ANY state. If you have a concealed carry permit, you may be allowed to carry the gun on you. The best source for this answer is local law enforcement. |

Don't know about KY specificlly, but I was taught to carry mine, unloaded, in a locked container in the trunk. |

Before the troll in me takes over and posts an inappropriate response, you may want to call your local law enforcement officials and ask them. If you have a problem with that, maybe you should not be in posession of a firearm to begin with, hmmn? |

im pretty sure it does need to be unloaded and in some sort of case in the trunk just so its obvious you arent trying to go do drive bys or rob somewhere as it would take a while to go to the trunk and load it and whatnot |

cased, unloaded, and action open. also can't be anywhere in the cab. basically, it needs to be out of reach, and the gun and ammo need to be separate. that's it. |

In Pa and many states.....Unloaded, Locked (either trigger or carry case and seperate from the ammo...unless your LE or have a carry permit |
