Say one person said something, and the other person punched him and they got into a fight and then the police showed up. Just say it was outside a public fast food restaurant. What are the charges>?

Just say one guy called another guy a moron and one threw a punch and then they started fighting. They just had some bruises and cuts thats it. No one pressed any charges or anything.

It depends on a lot of things.
Is the other person pressing charges?
Weapons involved?
Provoking?
Someone seriously hurt?
EDIT: Were the cops involved? If so, what did they say?
EDIT: If the other person doesn't press charges, noone else is hurt, and no property is damaged, you might be okay. Fighting in a public place isn't a good idea. You might still get arrested.
I'm definately not an expert on this at all. You should ask someone with more knowledge and experience.
My advice, if you're going to fight, do it quick, clean, and get the hell out of there. |
