I'm not sure where is legal to smoke now because I certainly know I won't be able to just waltz down main street and not get in trouble someway. Other then my own personal property where would it be okay to medicate?

The safest places to use medical marijuana would be your own home and most dispensaries usually let you smoke on their property. Don't smoke outside, unless you want to risk being stopped and harassed by cops. Basically just stay out of public sight. Marijuana is still illegal by federal law, and without an Rx it's still illegal. |

Each state has their own policies. Here in California there are even different policies in different cities and counties. No you can not take your medication with or around other people. If for no other reason than the other people who do not have a card can be arrested for being with you while you smoked pot. The other good reason is why would you want the hassle even if your card could get you a pass. I do not know the rules about smoking in someones house when all members do not have a card. I believe they could be arrested even though only you had the pot. I suggest you talk to a local cop and see not only what the law is, but how it is enforced. You should also ask the same question of your distributor. They may have a different view of how it is enforced. The last thing to remember is that though your state may allow pot use, the feds do not and can bust you at any time. |

How much did the "doctor" charge you to obtain this prescription?
There are doctors in California whose only specialty is prescribing pot to those who "need" it. They usually charge $200 to 300. I'm just curious about your condition and doctor. Estimates show up to 90% of medical marijuana card holders possess no real medical need.
