I read that after if the application goes through, they will contact you for an exam. I googled the civil exam and there is many websites that make you pay for some sort of study guide, is that where i go? or do i need to buy a book or take classes?

Most Police test are designed not only to test your understanding of the material but to also check for truthfulness and traits that are considered necessary to do the job. Be consistent in your answers. Some answers may be brought up in an oral interview later. The truth is much easyer to remember. Good Luck.

Most departments will issue you a study guide. If they do not issue a study guide, the test will consist of general knowledge questions so there really isn't a way to study for it. Just get a good nights sleep and eat a good breakfast. Good Luck |

it is basic knowledge common sense stuff. i got a book full of practice police exams and it helped a great deal. and like the other guys said a good night sleep and a good breakfast. |
